Who's on a house sit now? How's it going?

Third happy sit for Murphy, Harry, Hamish & their hood :two_hearts::tr:

Fabulous photos @Cuttlefish.
I am currently roughing it on holiday in Lanzarote.
I am very impressed with how they care for their cats. We have discovered they have lots of feeding/watering stations for them.

Lovely to see @Twitcher - they’re good here in Kalkan with those cat feeders. Enjoy Las Canarias :two_hearts:

I love Lanzarote. Have you tried a bit of the “ruta litoral”? The landscape is impressive.

What a cool looking cat.

I am half woman, half cat tonight. Local ish sit near Dublin.

We’re currently enjoying the company of these two cuties in Johor Bahru, Malaysia!

Such beauties!

Sitting in Gig Harbor, Washington and had a little panic moment earlier: beautiful golden doodle aka human in disguise ate some of the uncooked (boneless) chicken and veggies waiting to be put in the oven! He’ll be fine and I’ve accepted that dogs do consume raw meat at times but I don’t like those ‘Oh No’ moments. Otherwise he’s a real sweetie!

@Alice - I was sitting on the Piankatank River near Gloucester, Virginia. Only about an inch of snow but very cold. The wet food for the feral outdoor cats froze. Got eaten (the cat food, not the cats) by a quartet of black buzzards.

California dreaming with the sweetest pets this month

I just moved from my last sit, north of Austin, TX, to closer to Austin. And I went from having a needy dog, going in and out constantly, to dogs that I walked 5 hours ago and have been sleeping since. I can just let them out but was planning on doing a second walk with them. But they are still sleeping. What a change.

Hopefully it warmed up and the buzzards moved on!

Just finished a sit today near Edinburgh, during storm Eowyn. Was afraid the wee dog would not want to go out for a walk in those conditions Friday, but he actually loved it, chasing after every blown crips packet or piece of debris like it was an exciting new game.! Here he is inspecting a fallen tree branch.

Perth Australia

Just left one sit at 7.30am this morning and joined our next sit nearby at 10.30am with a very bouncy chap ‘Archie’, this is our 3rd sit in Perth this session and they’ve all been very different dogs although all doggy care has been dictated by the weather which at 40° on multiple days has been a challenge for dogs and humans alike phew!!

We’re in Hadai and I absolutely love the dog, the house, the owner.

I am in Gulfport, MS with a cat. First time on a cat sit, no dogs. This is like a vacation. I don’t have to clean the litter box as the cat was rescued as an outdoor cat so it does it’s business outside. And has a cat door. I just have to feed it. This is so chill. No wonder some people only choose cat sitting. There is no restriction on time. You can go out all day, come back and feed it again. This is super easy.

@Huronbase Yes, that does sound fantastic indeed. I’m always hesitant because I just love dogs so much more. And when I want to travel, I travel - without THS, because for me, THS was only about having a pet so far. Maybe I have to reconsider.
I also need dogs for my happiness and mental well-being. I’ve noticed that I handle frustrating situations much better when I have a dog around. Maybe it’s actually a psychological issue, but hey—some people take psychotropic meds, others are on THS.

It is a nice break. Especially after a trying dog. That was 2 sits ago. It was going in and out constantly. And since it was on Proin, for leaking, I did not want to chance an accident. I literally was getting up and down. I went on a couple of long walks with it. It was chewing its toys to the point I was finding bits in the poo. That was more stressful. It did settle a bit after a couple of days, but she was a handful. I love dogs. But I am finding that I enjoy smaller dogs now. Especially with a bad knee. After this nomdic time, I am being more careful with my dog choices.

I think it was a good day for a dog when she smells like a swamp corpse?
