Who's on a house sit now? How's it going?

We are on a 5 week house sit in Lima, Perú. These two - Beaunanza and Praline are as sweet as they look. We are enjoying Lima and the break from constant travel.

How lucky! Peru is one of my favorite countries I also love Peruvian cuisine.

Started a Seattle sit this morning — two cats. One is supposed to be skittish and hides for days sometimes, I was told. But I’m actually finding both very friendly.

Their human headed to the airport after a quick handoff. Welcoming, thoughtful and appreciative. Robust welcome guide. Lovely home near everything.

Local sit in my favorite part of Austin… the Eastside! Have this petite lovely to hang out with. She’s taken a liking to my sweater.

I just started a sit, north of Austin. Dogs are sweet, but one thinks I was put on this earth to play with him 24/7. Then he rolled in something, grass all over him and not a brush in sight. But beautiful home.

Ten days on the Piankatank River in tidewater Virginia (Gloucester is about 8 miles away) with a pair of indoor cats and a pair of semi-feral cats.

Phoebe (17 yo) and Dora (16 yo) are a pair of gray tabby indoor cats. Look a lot alike - Dora has black stripes extending from the corners of her mouth and eyes.
Phoebe

Dora

Dora is very friendly and climbs onto my lap when I sit in the living room.
Two semi-ferals who hang out in the yard and appear at the back door at meal times. Neither will let me get close.
Cheeto is a young yellow tabby

And a pretty elusive black (almost tuxedo) cat

Sit started with a bit of snow the night I arrived that melted quickly. Still very cold and getting colder the next few days.
Excellent hospitality, HOs left me a gift card for 2 local restaurants. Had an excellent brisket sandwich.

Currently on a sit in Santa Cruz with this cutie patootie and honorary King Olibear of Santa Cruz de la paw. One of my favorite california beache towns only a hour from my home base. We’ve clocked over 70,000 steps since last Monday. Mom comes home Thursday and I’m going to miss snuggling with the king.

Coming to the end of my sit with the cat quartet on the Piankatank River in Virginia. A quartet of black vultures dropped into the back yard this morning. The pair of feral cats stayed on the other side of the house.

Smart cats. I know they’re scavengers, but…

We just started a long, 3 months sit in Salcombe, Devon. Taking care of Nina, 12yo Samoyed. She’s quite slow nowadays but still loves a little ball run or a good stick  Salcombe is beautiful, hoping for more :sunny::sunny:

Bonjour to the Frenchie and also the little Pug child. I sat for a 1 year old Frenchie a few month’s ago who had the habit of destroying all her stuffies and the insides were strown about the house. Such entertaining dogs :paw_prints::two_hearts:

Cuties, how old are they? I just completed a sit with a pair of look-alike grey tabbies. Challenge was that one got 2 twists of the transdermal thyroid med and the other got 3 twists. :smirk_cat:

We are back in Wilmington, North Carolina-USA with these two cuties. It’s been unseasonably cold, we had snow last night and everything is closed so we’ve been relaxing and watched lots of Netflix.

Hi @toml , hope you are keeping well? These two have a rags to riches story. They were found as feral kittens on the streets of Cyprus. The home hosts here took them in and now they have the life of Riley

Currently on my 2nd sit in the UK with this fine fellow! He’s maybe the quietest cat I’ve ever met-- he never meows. I often look up from my laptop to him sitting and staring at me, waiting for dinner.
