Started a sit yesterday with this lovely trio. Was pleasantly surprised to see them all turn up in my guest suite. They’re different personalities and live indoors / outdoors (during daylight). One is especially friendly and spent the night on my bed, purring from petting. I was told that the other two need time to warm. Good thing is, one of those has let me start petting her.
My hosts — THS first-timers — were very welcoming and they have a beautiful home in San Francisco.
Started 2 weeks in Las Cruces, NM with Sofie, a 10 yo cockapoo.
She is a real sweetheart - but really missed her pet parents for about a day - she spent most of that day on their bed. She’s relaxed now - spent most of last night (2nd night) on my bed.
Very comfortable sit with this view east to the Organ mountains from the back yard (and from the breakfast table).

Great pet parents are on a Danube River cruise. They picked me up from El Paso airport on Christmas Eve at 11 pm and we spent Christmas Day together and I took them back to El Paso airport early in the morning on Dec 26. (I generally don’t do such long overlaps but airline schedules required.)
Pet parents took me on a tour of the city where we stopped to see this Road Runner sculpture (made from various trash - tires, computer parts, shoes, sheet metal) - originally installed at the Las Cruces landfill, now at a highway rest stop on I-10.
After dropping folks at the airport I stopped for breakfast at a NM-Mexican restaurant. A burrito with red and green chili (couldn’t decide so half and half), 2 scrambled eggs under the chili, and hash browns. (Not too pretty, but delicious.)
Enjoy the city ( my home town) great place for kitty sits. Enjoy!
I just started a sit in Buda, TX with 2 easy dogs. Though it is cold for Buda and the little chihuahua gets cold on the walk, so after he does his business, I pick him up and carry him, next to my chest, inside my coat. But today it is getting warmer, getting warmer everyday, so I don’t think I will have to carry him anymore. They do short walks. And it is a lovely, small condo, so not a lot to clean at the end. Enjoy that part.
Just finished up a sit in Wilmington, North Carolina-USA, with this sweet girl. Our first sit with her was in 2020 and we’ve been back every winter. It’s a perfect way to visit family and have a sweet dog to come home to.
We’ve lined up four other sits in the region and will be busy, with a few gaps, until late April. Heading to Charleston, South Carolina for a long weekend with a new furry friend!
@Alice Dottie’s a cutie. ![]()
