Your 2025 pet sitting round-up

As another year draws to a close, what is your 2025 round-up?

We had another enjoyable year, which consisted of …

  • 22 sits

  • 3 countries(England, Greece, Cyprus)

  • 386 Nights Pet/House sitting ( We do some overlapping)

  • 25 nights in Airbnb/ Hotel accommodation

  • 20 Cats

  • 14 Dogs

  • 4 Chickens

We are currently in Cyprus, on the same sit we started 2025 off with.

Next, we have two more Cyprus sits booked; after that, we have no idea where in the world we will be!

1I sits in the year, spanning UK and Spain. No hotels or AirBnbs.

186 days housesitting 13 dogs and 8 cats

Some sits without THS reviews as repeats, some family sits. None paid.

All solo sitting except 11 days at Christmas period. So 50% of the time not in my own properties last year.

13 sits (12 THS, 1 short repeat sit done privately)

10 in England, 2 in Wales

4 new sits, 9 repeat sits in 4 different homes

106 Nights Pet/House sitting

Our first long sit (a little over 6 weeks)

9 different dogs, 3 different cats, a few fish

Definitely a year of repeats. Less variety but some favourite pets and places. Normally we have a more even split between dogs and cats,

We have repeat sits booked during February half term and part of the Easter holidays. One of those is the same pets but in a different home! Other than that, we will see who asks us back and what else takes our fancy!

Oh my, that takes me back to when I was a kid! I remember those being advertised on the back cover of comic books

I’d never heard of them and I couldn’t see them.

Yes, they start off very tiny and translucent so you don’t see them readily. They max out at 1/4 inch
