We recently completed a sit and had a need to call the 24 hour vet help line after hours. They went through an exam protocol over the phone with us and determined that we needed to have a vet see the pup. They found a local 24 hour vet and helped us with contact information so that we could make arrangements for a house call. All worked out fine in the end the pup is doing very well for his 14 years thanks to the help of THS online vet.
The lesson we learned through this is that all of our repeat sits are booked through THS. It is easy to arrange sits with past home owners personally, it is not to avoid THS membership fees just that we establish personal relationships with all our home owners and sometimes it seems easier.
Most of our sits require a flight or a long drive, with all of the benefits to us and the home owner we have a firm rule that they all go through THS.
THS has been very good to us and are constantly recommending the service to people we meet.

Since I’m such a newbie to THS it’s good to hear that the ability to contact a 24 hour vet was a positive and helpful service.
