I am VERY late to this discussion @sharondc but had to reply, as I’m loving reading everyone’s replies.
I also wanted to say that I use castor oil for my eyebrows and eyelashes! I didn’t know it could be taken as medicine as well - but it sure makes my lashes and brows grow!

Castor oil has also been used for many years to induce labour @Jenny. I know my mother took it before I was born and said it was absolutely foul! Whether it helped is another question!
