This is happening with Android I reckon.
I did uninstall the app and installed it again.

Yes i get that to even after you’ve read the messages it still stays for awhile

The messaging app is terrible. The blue dot stays on for a long after you’ve read the messages. Sometime the blue dot is big so you know you have mail, other times it’s so small it’s easy to miss.
