I haven’t used my lounge passes this year. My renewal date is May 28th and I have a trip leaving on May 31st. Can I book my current membership year passes prior to the 28th for the travel day on the 31st?
The FAQ wording is bit contradictory. First it states: Lounge passes must be used within your membership year and will not be carried over when your membership renews. (Does this just mean that you can’t continue to carry over/bank unused lounge passes?).
But then it says: *Lounge passes must be booked before membership expires but Lounge passes can be booked for a later date. (*Which is exactly what I’d like to do).
Ideally, I’d like to use this year’s passes on the 31st and then use the next membership year’s passes later.
Unclear THS protocol. Suggest that you simply try book first usage and see what happens. Then try again at later date and mention new subscription year if challenged.
Sorry that the information wasn’t very clear - I checked with the team about this. - you do have to book the passes within your membership year, but they can be booked for whenever. You’re good to go ahead and book them.
The team are also going to review the language used in the FAQ. Thanks for giving us some feedback about that.
