I’ve just upgraded to Premium membership (because…well, you know why). Can someone please explain the lounge passes thing to me like I’m 5 years old.
What are they? How does one use them? Where do I access them?
(for what it’s worth I’m going to be in Heathrow and Copenhagen airports)
Thanks!
Have a look on lounge pass dot com and they have the full list of lounges available. Send the lounge pass request to the main THS email address - there’s a form on the website you can use - and they’ll confirm it back as a downloadable PDF pass. For somewhere like Heathrow where they’ll be more than one lounge option, check out the reviews & costs first and choose the best would be another bit of advice. Honestly we’ve used them every year and the Istanbul ones would cost us €110 each so absolutely worth it! #itsgoodtobeyoung
Thanks Cuttlefish, sounds rather complicated - are they actually free then?
They are yes. And it’s honestly easy. One email and the pass comes back I promise
I’ll second that. We’ve used the lounge oasses when we had a significant layover. The lounge was comfy and the food was actually quite good (Turkish Airlines). As a non-member, I think the lounge would’ve cost $50+ each.
Currently enjoying a berry mojito in a lounge at Gatwick with our complimentary pass - it’s definitely FREE .
Booking was straightforward and when our flight times changed it was easy process to get the pass amended . We didn’t get a choice of lounge when we booked ( unless I missed something @Cuttlefish ? )
Premium Plaza is not the best lounge at Gatwick but free lunch , comfortable sofas and complementary drinks before our flight is welcome .
No there’s no choice at THS end but if you look before you request then some airports have multiple lounge options (Bangkok or Qatar for example) so you can request the pass for the one with the best reviews. #berrymojitotime
Thanks Cuttlefish, I looked at loungepass D C, but all those lounges are available free through THS? How do I know if they are included in THS discount? Do I have to write to them and ask?
So, I email THS, and say ‘I’d like 2 passes for ABC lounge at Heathrow for 10 May’’ and they email me back a QR code for the pass?
Where do I find the lounge PDF and email address on the THS site?
(sorry for all the dumb questions!)
Aha! I found it now! thanks again - I’m actually in the middle of work, so only have half an eye on this!
Yes they’re all included in your options #chooseyourflavour
Rude not to @Silversitters
Enjoy
I think they require to book at least 72 hours ahead of the flight. They don’t always enforce it but better to be safe.
We give ours to sitters as we have lounge access via other means, but yes you just email names / travel dates / airport / and airline. If you know the lounge you would like then name it specifically. They usually aren’t as good as the airline lounges but can still be better then waiting at the gate.
