Can't update home information on my listing

I just signed up as a combined sitter/home owner again. I am unable to update the part of my listing about my home. I change the photos, photo captions, and information about my home. I click publish (there is no save button), everything looks fine, but it reverts back to what I had before. I emailed support. I am using my laptop. Please add this to the hundreds of other technical problems that need fixing.

Your last sentence says it all. Good luck.

Hello new here but I may be able to help as I went through this recently as well.

Make sure you pick a category for each photo and if you’ve done that then what will probably work is using a different browser for example if you use Edge try Firefox. That almost always solves these sorts of problems.

I have read about a lot of bugs in the software of this website but that is not one of them so it is probably a “you” issue not the site itself at least on this particular occasion.

Good luck let me know if it works if you try it!

I received this reply from THS to my email. Does this seem strange/phishing?

This is not spam. I had occasion to work with a member support specialist in regard to a prior issue and this is exactly the same as the email I received just prior to them issuing me a partial refund. It is all good.

I figured it out after many hours of trial and error. You must have at least one photo for each of the required areas.

  • Bedroom

  • Living area

  • Kitchen

  • Bathroom

I did not YET have one called Living Area. So no changes at all, including adding any photos or updating any captions will be saved until you have a photo marked for one of these areas. So, my listing was allowed to go live without a Living area photo, but I could not update any of my photos unless I called one the Living area.

Typical THS.

Might be legit, but it’s asinine. How would one be able to have initiated contact with the help desk without already being vetted? And even if that was the case, asking for that much information does nothing but preclude folks from querying for help.

Hi @Shella_in_the_Forum

I had to remove the email text from your post, as our Community Guidelines ask that members don’t copy and paste private communications onto the Forum. However, I can see that another member was able to confirm that the email wasn’t spam, which I hope reassured you!

I also wanted to let you know that the team is currently making improvements to this area of the Listing Hub, including the way rooms are tagged. Members who joined some time ago weren’t originally asked to specify which room each photo belonged to, which is why some members are now being prompted to add this information when editing their photos.

Hope this helps
