There are many articles published in the media about housesitting one of the latest by Tamara Hardingham-Gill a freelance producer with CNN features TrustedHousesitter members @Julie & Jonathan and captures the reasons why pet and housesitting is a win win win … especially for beloved pets
“There’s no better reply from an owner than to say that they’re totally reassured by us being there,” adds Jonathan.“They love to see their pets having a great time. For us, the pets completely take over our lives when we’re doing a sit.”
A big thank you to Julie & Jonathan for sharing your story … our community’s story!!
We hope you are having an amazing time in Australia with your family and adorable, four legged friend - Charcoal
Great article and promotion for TrustedHousesitters. Keep enjoying your time in Sydney with Charcoal and spending time with your son and his family, Julie and Jonathan.
Reading the article about Julie and Jonathan made me want to start house sitting — and I’m currently on a wonderful sit in the South of France. I’m sure that their story will inspire many people to join THS and start having their own house sitting adventures!
Hi @temba Thank you so much! We are still pinching ourselves, we are here near to our family with this adorable little pup who’s just the most prefect companion, he happily explores everywhere with us, stays overnight with our family with us, adores the little Grandson, luckily he puts up with Charcoal’s licks haha! Manly is beautiful and the home owners are wonderful. Housesitting is the best life!
Thank you @Mary-Kay and that’s so lovely to read. We hope it does inspire. For people young and old that want to travel and love pets, Housesitting can offer so many adventures, as we all know
Thank you @Angela_L - living like locals close to our family, in Manly with little sweetheart of a pup Charcoal is one of our top Housesitting adventures . We sincerely hope our Story will inspire others who are thinking of travelling, love the companionship of pets along the way and will start their House sitting journey and become part of this amazing THS Community
It’s worked out so well for you @Julie, and you’re enjoying fine summer weather in Sydney, with some rain at times as well.
I’m going to have a similar time in your beautiful country. It’s been hard these past two years not going to the UK on an annual basis to pet sit and see family and friends. However, flights are booked from Oz and I have managed to get sits close to where elderly cousins (Kent and Lincolnshire) and close friends (Oxfordshire) live. Could not have worked out more perfectly and all owners have been wonderful to communicate with. Can’t wait to resume my love affair with England!
Hi, yes it’s definitely been a mixed bag of weather here lately, still gorgeous. Oh my your plans sound wonderful, I’m so glad you have been able to finalise your plans to revisit the UK and get to see all your family and friends, so happy you have fixed up great Sits with lovely Owners.
Isn’t Oxfordshire is just beautiful and a great time to visit.
