Concern About Couple Profile Update

I know that there is some sort of testing going on that involves couple accounts–and yes I know that not all accounts of this nature are couples but other sorts of pairings–such as booking sits with short overlaps and getting both parties verified.

I noticed a change in the profile that seems to be laying the groundwork for this but it had me a bit concerned.

Right now you will see both parties listed with the main account holder showing all the various verifications and then nothing listed under the second person.

Save perhaps the people in that beta testing, no profiles would have verifications for both parties. I am concerned it makes it look like the profile owners opted to not get the verifications for the second person and hosts–newer ones especially-- might not be aware that this option currently does not exist and opt for a solo applicant among the bunch as that might feel like the safer choice.

I think that the site should wait to alter any of that until the members are given the option to get those verifications.

I share your concern @KC1102. The beta testing group haven’t even been able to start applying for overlapping sits and not all, most likely, have had the other person verified yet. Once again, THS has jumped the gun in changing our profiles for something that is only being tested at present. And, once again, it is the sitters who could well be affected by this premature change, not the owners.

Thank you for pointing that out - you are absolutely right! Hopefully THS will fix this.

A point well made , have you raised it directly with member services ? Member services don’t read or respond to the forum .

Hi @KC1102

I passed over the feedback from this discussion to the team, and they confirmed that as part of the co-sitter work being done, we are making it clearer for all members to see who is verified and the details of the co-sitter. It sounds like the feature went live a few weeks ago.

I thought I’d add a screenshot of what it looks like, for anyone who’s reading.

If we hear anything else about it, I’m happy to update this discussion, but in the meantime you are also welcome to drop Member Services a line.

@Jenny

Thank you so much for your post. Is there a way to add verifications for the second person on the account? My husband is listed on my profile and your right, it just shows “Name - Age”.

Thanks!

This makes sense. It could be confusing for homeowners looking at the various account types. I also think there are many different types of sitters and I hope this doesn’t turn into some scheme to raise prices for any sitter travelling with another person.
