I stumbled upon this inappropriate listing and brought it up to the moderator’s attention @Therese but it’s so out of the box, I have to share it here.
Details removed for privacy. I’m copy-pasting from the listing
“am a performing artist, and my daughter is 14 years old. I am looking for someone very trustworthy, reliable who can stay at my place in Nov for a week while my daughter is there as well. I need to travel for work but she has school (high school). I am seeking someone who can be there at night while she is gets back from school and make light dinner/breakfast (she is quite responsible and can do basics), possibly help with homework and be there to also look after cat.”
To point out the obvious, THS’s 3rd person policy. But I mean… WTH
I mean that listing is beyond ridiculous. How can anyone possibly think it’s ok to post a listing of this nature. THS should explain how this has been allowed to be published.
NYC. It seems that now the listing is no longer available. The crazy thing is, I checked back a few hours ago, they actually had applications. Not sure if the people who applied read the description or rushed to beat the 5-applicant rule and missed it.
What could possibly go wrong with a complete stranger coming in with a teenager there? Shame on that parent. Shame on THS for not having a direct “Report” button
Can a report button be put in the works? There have been multiple listings that get applicants or sitters violating THS TOS and there is no way to quickly report before people apply (and God forbid) home owners accept.
