Current pricing for long time members

What are the prices for members who joined long before the tiered pricing system? We have always had just the basic membership and would like to renew the same but there is no price shown for sitters in this category. Does anyone know what the price is?

I was a member long before the tiered pricing and I just renewed my basic membership a few months ago for 129 USD.

When I experimented with cancelling the auto renewal, it brought me to a page saying if my membership expired, I may have to pay a higher price to join again, etcā€¦ and at the bottom, it said something about saving by switching to another plan. When I clicked on the ā€˜view plansā€™ that basic membership at that price was showing.

@liz If you have been on auto pay since you joined then just go on settings and it will show your renewal date and price. The prices seem to vary between countries.
I joined in the UK in 2018 and have been on auto pay ever since. My price is Ā£89 pa but if I were to take a break Iā€™d lose that price & have to rejoin on one of the 3 Tiers and the cheapest plan- ā€˜Basicā€™ is currently Ā£99 My ā€˜Sitterā€™ plan appears to be a mixture of ā€˜Basicā€™ & ā€˜Standardā€™ so Iā€™m sticking with it.
It sounds like you are manually renewing? In which case you will only be offered the current rates in your country and will need to choose one of the three Tiers.

I joined in 2013 before the tiers were introduced.
I pay Ā£99 but every year I take off the Auto Renew about 2 weeks before and get a discount code for 20% off.
I guess this may not work if I had a sit scheduled but I would say I have had a discount 95% of the time even though I was advised the discount is only valid once.
It really isnā€™t about the money but the fact that my membership has been devalued over time. Many features were inclusive such as insurance, video calls to vet line etc etc.
As with most features on the site - no consistency and no reward for loyalty.

@twicher I thought that discount would only work once by turning off auto renewal. We got 25% a few years back but when we tried to do it again it had a message along rhe lines of ā€œyou only getvtge 25% discount onceā€ or something like that. I just tried it again now but it had a message that I woukd have to cancel my booked sits first. So I quickly back peddled out of there!

I joined in 2010 and am still on the original charge. I pay US $129 even though I live in the UK.
I will not change anything as I am sure that I will lose this basic charge.
I donā€™t know why my amount is more expensive than @Twitcher and @Lokstar
I cannot remove auto renew anyway as I always have sittings lined up after the due date

Yes @Itchyfeet - no consistency!

Mine is $119/year which is currently @ 92 GPB/year.

Iā€™ve been a member for 11 years, and I pay Ā£99 for a basic sitter membership.

@Twitcher @Itchyfeet @Chrissie Its strange that my price- Ā£89- is lower than any of yours when I joined several years later  I actually joined on a Black Friday deal in 2017 so only paid about Ā£65 to join and Ā£89 pa thereafter. I didnā€™t actually do the first sit till after renewal in 2018!
I wonder if they dropped the rate at a certain point for a while to attract more members?
@twitcher you mention your membership has devalued? Could that be because you cancel autorenew and you are perhaps now actually on Basic of the 3 Tiers? Ā£99 is the current price for that.
I have remained continuously on autorenew since joining and I just checked my account. The Vet line is still active (I did a test call) and I seem to have unlimited saved searches on the App (at least I have not reached any limit yet and I have 10 saved searches currently active)
I see these 2 features are not included in Basic Ā£99 but are included in Standard- Ā£129. So my plan appears to be a combo of Basic & Standard and is therefore a very good deal now so I wonā€™t be pausing it anytime soon!

@Lokstar . I can have saved searches, not sure what the limit is, but Iā€™ve always been able to get them.

Yes, I think everyone on the old plan should still have that feature if they have not stopped autorenew. It just doesnā€™t appear on the feature list for the new Basic plan

I joined a decade ago and my annual membership fee has only been going up since. I pay quite a bit more than I did back then.

Similar to @Twitcher, I cancelled the Auto Renew a few times and then got a discount code but it only worked 2 or 3 times (last time was several years ago). After that, it doesnā€™t seem to apply anymore, plus theyā€™ve increased the price for the non Auto Renew.

So itā€™s become very difficult to get any discount on the price, cause same like you, the value of my membership has actually gone down and I line up notably less sits since the 5 appl rule was introduced

so you can keep your basic membership and also auto-renew? I somehow thought that with auto-renew you lost your old membership. Glad Iā€™m wrong

Even if I renew before the due date?

Based on the prices quoted here my cost has more than doubled since I joined

Hi @liz
I donā€™t think that you are wrong.
I am on basic and have always understood that if I remove auto-renew then I have lost my old membership

@liz ā€œBased on the prices quoted here my cost has more than doubled since I joinedā€

How can that be??
What price (& membership plan) did you start with?
And what price (& plan) are you on now?
I was informed -on joining- that my price- Ā£89- would be fixed forever if I remained on auto-renewal which is what Iā€™ve done.
When the three Tiers were introduced THS did a hard sell to try and get all original members to upgrade to one of the (higher) Tiers. But since all the Tiers cost more than my price and the lowest level (basic) includes less than what I have now there was absolutely no incentive for me to change!
They still send me messages occasionally to upgrade but so far have not forced it or discontinued my original plan benefits or increased my price.
So I am letting sleeping dogs lie!

@Lokstar my price is also Ā£89, same as yours. I joined in 2019 and have been auto renewing since.
