Damage and breakage during their sit

Previous arranged sitter cancelled 5 weeks out which was 10 days before we moved into this home, previous sitter knew all about the move and the timing… so finding another sitter last minute was extremely stressful but dates were discussed as length because I’m a belt and braces person.
I have the similar questions to you but all we got was defensive statements and deflection
So I’m going to make a short and factual review and draw a line under this as soon as I can.
Bailey is fine, he is still on restricted exercise for the next few days as vet said it presented like a sprain.
Thank all again.

@JojoandDave
Were these awful sitters locally based or from out of town?
If they’re locally based, I would consider legal action for damage caused to your home.

Are you from the US? Typically we wouldn’t do that in the UK, it would be more trouble than it’s worth, costly & difficult to prove without before & after photos.As @JojoandDave say they’re going to draw a line under it & hopefully with the review they write the sitter won’t get selected again

Sounds awful. The only thing I can defend is the sprain. On my first visit. I would walk the dog 4 times a day, but it was a pit mix, leash aggressive, it was winter, so the walks were about 20-30 minutes each. In the backyard, I played fetch with my sit and he ended up with a sore shoulder. I guess I exercised him more than he was used to, but he was so happy. The owner told me that he kept bringing a ball to her after the sit. The rest of your story is awful. I got my third sit, in a beautiful home in Los Angeles with a small, older dog, easy sit, because they had a “similar” experience with a younger couple. So they went with me, the older widow.
