Error on Review

Hello, I think there is a glitch in the system. The pet owner that I just sat for, wrote a wonderful, raving review about me, and gave me 5 stars for all FIVE categories. But for some reason at the top of my review, it shows only 1 star.
She is unable to edit this. Having a 1 star review greatly effects my ratings as I only have 7 reviews in total (all 5 stars). Can the system organizers change this? She is not that tech savvy and obviously made a mistake. Below is the screenshot of what she wrote, please advise what I can do, this is worries me so much!

The homeowner needs to contact membership services and ask them to amend it. It is a well known glitch.

Thats because she didn’t select 5 stars overall. It’s not a glitch so much as a poor interface.

THS member services will fix this.

The HO needs to contact support@trustedhousesitters.com for them to correct the star rating. Unfortunately this glitch is not infrequent.

And it is absolutely a glitch.

This happened to me a while ago. I was the sitter rating the host. Clicked 5 stars was published as 1 star. I asked chat box for a human and got it corrected.

I have found this a real problem in the past. At one time you would click each star but sudden;ly I discovered if you clicked the first start it would not allow you to click the next etc. I have had to start completely again on a couple of occasions. I find it works, if you click the fifth star first and then all five will show.. Clicking the first star frequently does not let you click the next ones. That has been my experience. Derfintely a clkich in the system.

Yup, it’s a glitch that has also affected me.

Yes, it happened to me once too, I was momentarily mortified - I thought the HO loved us  I messaged them and they were mortified too; the glitch that’s maybe not a glitch but is a glitch was the culprit. As mentioned by others, they contacted member services and it was eventually rectified… phew.

I really wish THS would make it so you can see the full review and make changes if needed prior to hitting the final submit button. Every time I submit a review I hate that I can’t see it before I submit and it’s not possible to go back to previous screens to double check that everything is correct. Seems like it wouldn’t be that difficult to implement this minor change.

I recommemd writing your review in some text document (i.e., Word, Notes…) so you can make all the edits you want. When done, cut and paste into your THS review.

@Cat-ophile, yes, I already to that. I would like to be able to see my full review, including the overall stars and categories before submitting. Usually, the issues we see posted here are to do with the wrong number of stars being accidentally clicked. It’s not possible to go back to check everything before submitting. It would be extremely easy to add a screen with the full review with a final submit button on the bottom.

Got it. If THS allowed a final review screen before being posted, would be great. Something like after you press submit, a screen comes up showing your proposed submission that has an Accept or Edit button. Would give the reviewer the opportunity to make changes, if needed I’d think that’d be a simple fix.

Absolutely, that is what I do too. My current sit ends in 2 days and my review is already written, sitting ready to copy and paste. Then, I take extra care to make sure I hit the correct number of stars.

@systaran This would certainly make for a “smoother experience”!!

It seems such a logical and easy thing to do. Even my new washing machine asks me if I’m sure of the program settings before I press start  The two Oz sitting sites I’m on shows the whole thing and asks for confirmation before submitting. So many easy fixes for so many things and what gets me is that I doubt any of the new booking fees will go towards fixing such minor details. But that’s another story that has been flogged to death with no outcome.

It’s not a glitch. The overall rating default is 1 star and has to be manually changed by the reviewer. It is not linked to the individual star ratings. It’s a common problem for users and will be fixed by THS support when requested.

I don’t know who THS think they are kidding with their cliché that sit fees are to improve the product and customer experience.
