I would love to have the option to filter by whether or not the HO allows the sitter the availability of a vehicle. On one and two+ week sits, when we fly in, renting a car can be expensive. I know that HO usually put in the listing whether or not a car is available, but I’d sure love to be able to filter it. Having added filters before, I know it’s very simple to just add one. Thanks!

I just did a worldwide search and there are 316 sits with use of car included.

I’ve found several times, though, that sits which come up with that filter checked don’t, in fact, mention the use of the car in the listing. So you don’t know if it really is included or if the box was just ticked in error or a passing whim. It would be SO helpful if HOs could just confirm it in the comments in their listing, so those of us who do need the use of a car can apply with complete confidence.

Even if the box is checked and it’s mentioned in a listing, I suggest double checking with the host. They might sometimes take the car with them, depending on the trip.

As @Maggie8K suggests, check with the host as there can be a difficulty with UK car insurers insuring non-UK drivers. There are conversations about this on the forum

When applying to a US sit that I won’t drive to, unless it is in a city with good public transportation, I ask about using the car, even if not included in the listing. I ask nicely and note that I’ve used HOs cars on many sits. At least half the time HO says yes - I’ll often drive them to the airport and arrange for their return - I drive to the airport, park the car, take a picture of where in the car-park it is, and hide the key.
I’ve used HOs cars in the UK (but before 2020, I think most UK insurers now don’t allow it), Canada and South Korea, and been offered cars in Australia and Sweden.
