A recent app update included a change for combined members. To accommodate this, there was a tweak to menu layouts for all members (using the TrustedHousesitters app).

I thought they’d just ditched it at first because of the massive uproar about the financial changes! Took me a while to find it. What’s wrong with THS just sending an email to all MEMBERS to say it’s moved?!!!
The announcement, which was posted only on the forum and not emailed to all members, stated that the changes would affect combined members only. However, the changes are impacting all app users.
When will THS inform all members about these updates? We have been told that the increased fees are intended to improve the user experience. However, making significant changes without clearly informing members about what has changed or how to find the features they need does not enhance the experience — it makes it worse.
For a good user experience THS needs to improve its communication around these changes and ensure that all members are properly informed before, or at the very least at the time, new updates are introduced.
They don’t do that, maybe they’ll be able to afford to do so with the introduction of sit fees, Isn’t the purpose of those fees to improve customer experience?
Since the booking fees was introduced to improve our overall experience, this is one of the many errors I see now, browsing the forum. I’m a developer, do you want some help?
They certainly could do with some help, not just with the UX but across the platform as a whole i.e. the website and the apps (Apple and Android), Consistency would go a long way as well as stopping introducing so called improvements that no asked for, or wanted. Isn’t that at the new sit fees are supposed are for?
The irony is that everyone reading this forum has already managed to find their way here. The information needs to reach the people who haven’t found it — not the ones who already have.
Thanks for sharing that @giuvax - I’ve noticed this can happen from time to time but not for a while. Can you let me know which browser you were using when this happened, please? We’ve asked the team to take a look.
I couldn’t find the forum at all, so had to google my way in, this seems like a very lame attempt to hide the forum for most members, obviously THS doesn’t like a lot of the critical comments on this forum, disgraceful once again
I just wanted to reassure everyone that the Forum isn’t being deliberately hidden.
Mark addressed in another thread that the change to the link location could have been better communicated, and we’re genuinely sorry for any confusion!
The Forum is promoted in various ways, including via the Forum roundup in the Trusted Times email (with Forum members getting shout-outs, and we also link to various interesting posts), via Member Services, and on our homepage under “Discover More”. I know it’ll be in other places too, but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head!
We encourage constructive criticism on the Forum, as long as it’s in line with our guidelines, and the team always share feedback with the wider team wherever we can.
