As I new member of THS I am struggling, I’m not sure if it’s just me but this has to be the worse website I have come across!
To find anything I search the App but then on it finding it try going in through the website.
To find this forum page I had to go to the help page and fortunately stumbled across it.
Why is there not an index of categories mirrored on the App and website?
Why no search bar?
To look at sitters applications you get an abridged version but then if your lucky and can remember how, you discover there’s an actual profile of the sitter ‘hidden’ somewhere else?
As someone who worked with a team of IT web developers to creative intuitive, user friendly content I find this the worse I have come across.
I actually like the THS concept and feel it works well but the website is not user friendly and I have to admit I dread using it, if it wasn’t for this forum and the help I’ve received from other users I would have definitely given up.
Yup, given that THS is really only an online platform, I mean that is all they really do, they are remarkably bad at it.
I happen to think that the app is considerably less user-friendly than the web version (I’m a sitter), but for sure neither is very good. And, of course, despite many excellent suggestions from users over the years, they never seem to listen and make (positive, useful) changes.
On wonders what on earth they spend all their (extra) income on?!
I love pet/house-sitting but the company is rubbish.
What I find very annoying is the change at the top menu. Before it was easy to find my listing, change it and go back to my dashboard. Now I am constantly searching, because nothing is where it used to be.
Why can’t you leave things like they were? In Germany we call this “Verschlimmbesserung”, which means having the intention to make something better but instead making it worse.
What a great word! I’m trying to learn some basic German via Duolingo for a forthcoming trip. but only know how to ask for tea with milk so far (well a bit more!). I shall add this word to my list and try and use it! THS is definitely verschlimmbesserunging and has been doing for many years now, just getting more frequent.
Yep agree. I initially was using only the app, now I use mostly the website on laptop (I find the website version better personally). I was a HO only for my 1st year, now i recently switched to Dual Membership. Woof! This has added another layer of confusion and seek and find. I always figure it out but it SHOULD NOT be that hard. Thanks for making this post to keep bringing attention to the powers that be to keep working at this.
The product team and member services don’t read the forum . To ensure that any suggestions / complaints reach member services you need to contact them by e-mailing support@trustedhousesitters.com
Many new forum members are under the mistaken impression that THS member services are reading all the forum content . This was my impression when I first joined the forum . However that is not the case .
Whilst the forum moderators occasionally feedback a few comments to member services, the majority of the comments are not ever seen by member services or the product team .
For example, this thread was started by a forum member in Sep 2022 and received 723 suggestions for improvement ; however, very few—if any—of the suggestions have been implemented by THS.
This is why I commented that to ensure that your suggestions or complaints reach member services or the product team you need to send an e-mail directly .
