Do other members think that THS takes any note of, listens to what members are saying in the forum and responds positively to feedback and suggestions? Or, do you think THS ignores what members are saying, or ask for and just does its own thing, often introducing new features that nobody wanted?
No!
I have been invited and attended a few zoom meetings with members of the Product team which were a waste of time as decisions had already been made
No I donāt and THS have previously stated that the forum is not the place for making suggestions about changes
and also stated that
Okay, then why have a sub-forum āThe place to find company news, share your feedback and suggestions to make your experience even better.ā?
Next, the moderators often state āthanks, weāll pass that suggestion onā. Wouldnāt they instead say something like āthis forum isnāt the place for suggestions and we donāt pass anything onā?
Also, do suggestions sent by email prompt any changes?
This was included in a post by Jenny in a thread on booking fees "Our Product, App, Website, Member Services, Marketing and Comms teams are all listening, and your feedback is always welcomed. Thank you for taking the time to share, weāll keep you updated as we move forward.ā
Same as @Itchyfeet
Attended the Zoom meeting a few years ago with the product team to hear what we thought about a 5-application limit.
Everyone said: nah, thatās too little, maybe 10 might workā¦but definitely not 5. How would it work with time zones, etcā¦
A few weeks later, THS: āwe are going to have a 5 application limit.ā
Rhetorical question???
I cannot resist a sarcastic answer. Yes, they clearly listen, and deeply care about each single person on here. It is all about the human touch for them, and kindness is more important than making money.
No, it was a genuine question, not rhetorical. I would like to know if anyone has had a suggestion enabled.
Great to hear that you are not cynical and jaded then, like some others might be.
I am very cynical, I donāt like the way THS treats its members at all. But, there may have been suggestions and improvements made from suggestions made by members that Iām not aware of.
It will be interesting to see if they take note of the results of this poll
Thatās what I think. And I find more and more annoying the repetition of statements like this
Itās just meaningless words to make us feel like weāre being heard and valued. THS will always put THSās interests first regardless of what (their most valuable asset) members say. Itās naive to think otherwise.
@Silversitters that 2 week poll launched on 8 January and more than 2 months later we have heard no results from THS. Typical THS behaviour! How hard is it to announce the poll results after 2 weeks! Very disappointing outcome, yet again.
Actions speak louder than words THS! I know Iām shouting into the wind as you donāt read the forum etc etc ![]()
In my opinion it is the perfect example of āpolitcally correct engagementā.
They say, āWeāre a team. We support you. We appreciate you. We care about your ideas, opinions and input. Weāll listen to everything you have to say and use your - the people on the ground who make us what we are - experiences and input to guide us into an even better company/etc.ā
Sounds soooooo lovely and , really, who could not appreciate such thoughtful engagement !
Andā¦ā¦ā¦.cricketsā¦ā¦..
@Els & @Itchyfeet I was also invited to a similar product team meeting around the same time. Out of curiosity, I asked about the size of the product team and, at that time, was told the two were the team.
No doubt it has grown with the infusion of so much funding.
One asked me what I thought of the idea of scrapping the calendar altogether. It wasnāt something Iād considered but the team member explained how it seemed unworkable in its current form. After a discussion, I agreed with their suggestion. The only change Iāve since seen is the removal of the legend. Not exactly progress or any improvement. My guess is the team memberās idea and opinion had little sway with those who made the decisions. Kinda like forum member feedback.
Weāve not observed any evidence, over last couple years, that suggestions raised in THS Forum are actioned by THS.
Only seeming escalation from Forum to THS MS are specific instances of problematic housesits.
Erā¦no. The moderators offer understandable āweāll pass it on to our teamsā (what else are they expected to say? A horrible jobā¦and they are probably equally uncomfortable) comments. Otherwise, itās a chance to vent (uselessly) and offer those users (who manage to find their way here) some useful advice. The āpowers that beā simply donāt care and probably righteously ignore a bunch of people who actually care this site
I donāt think I fully understand your point. I apologize, English is not my first language.
Do you mean itās OK not to pay attention to suggestions offered on the forum?
I do believe that they canāt act on any and every suggestion as there are often opinions supporting opposing ideas but what most posters on this thread are saying is that nothing is done even when thereās unanimous agreement on the forum, that their opinions are ignored and no feedback offered when they are asked to participate on surveys. Worst of all, weāre constantly being told they hear our feedback and they are making changes to improve our experience when itās clear what they are trying to improve is the companyās benefit.
Some of the changes proposed are virtually zero cost and still are consistently ignored.
I agree. I do appreciate the support @Jenny offers, helping cover the shortcomings of the support team, who seem to be ignoring direct contact more and more often but do react when given a nudge by forum moderators.
Hi there,
Member feedback is collected from a range of platforms including the forum, social media and Member Services - itās then shared internally to the appropriate team members.
Our features are regularly under review for improvement, in line with our user experience and business objectives.
