For us, by choice, 2025 has been a bit different than our last 3 years petsitting. We chose to spend the first 5 months just enjoying some long-term stays and travel without any sitting. It was a great break, and we just wrapped up our 3rd sit for the year, a few days ago. Coincidentally, it happened to be our 50th sit, and it was absolutely exceptional on all levels. This sit ticked all the boxes for us and the sweet kitties were just as expected and then some. The owners knocked it right out of the park on all levels as well. We’ve had some pretty great sits in the past, with wonderful pet owners and pets, but this one reminded us once again, that the kind, caring, appreciative folks we meet along the way, simply add to the experiences of what we love about our lifestyle. They honestly thought of every little thing for making our stay very pleasant, and one in particular stands out for us. They went the extra mile, literally and figuratively-insisting on picking us up from our hotel, taking us grocery shopping, and then dropping us off at our next hotel after the sit. This was above and beyond anything we had experienced in the past. They have glowing reviews from all of their past sitters, and we feel so pleased to also now be considered for future sits.
