Anytime is a great time to be pet and housesitting in the UK but this weekend promises to be extra special a party atmosphere that everyone can enjoy and after the two years we’ve all been through we deserve to have some fun.
If you’re in the UK and joining in the celebrations share your weekend pics with us we’d love to see a few more Corgis … but no matter where you are or what you’re doing we’d love to to see your pictures especially if it includes a pet.
Have a brilliant weekend wherever you are in the world.

We are so excited to be here! We just started a new sit in a small village near Witney. Our house is right across from the the green where a number of festivities will be happening this weekend. I am especially excited to see the beacon being lit!
PS No corgi, but an adorable black cockapoo.

On 6 February 2022, Queen Elizabeth II became the longest-serving British monarch ever, notching up 70 loyal, tireless years on the throne. While initiatives and parties and plaques have sprung up across her extensive queendom ever since, the ultimate commemoration of her service will take place over the U.K.'s special four-day holiday weekend from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5, in line with when her actual coronation took place on 2 June 1953.

What a fabulous start to the Jubilee celebrations yesterday along The Mall. We were lucky enough to be there and soak up the atmosphere. After the Trooping the Colour we were treated to a spectacular RAF Flypast. Here are some photos from yesterday, it’s a bit of a photo overload i’m afraid!
The mighty Red Arrows who ended yesterday’s Flypast.
Four Lightnings (F-35B’s) escorting the RAF Airbus A330 in “Global Britain” livery.
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. A Lancaster Bomber leading two Spitfires followed by two Hurricanes.
Three Pumas followed by three Chinook helicopters.
Three Hercules.
This cutie came to join us during the celebrations
Quintessential Pimms!
We then went to Daylesford Farm in the Cotswolds for a lovely evening of drinks and celebrating followed by the lighting of the beacon. Over 3500 beacons were lit around the UK and the Commonwealth on the evening of June 2nd 2022 to mark the Platinum Jubilee.
Listening to the piper before the beacon is lit.
Preparing for the beacon to be lit.
The beacon was lit at 9.45pm along with all the other beacons at the same time around the country.
This is just the start of the Jubilee festivities, many more still to come

Thank you @Angela_L
We have just been for tea and cakes to celebrate the Jubilee in our local village hall in the Cotswolds and our village had an open gardens event where we just discovered one of our neighbours has a waterfall in their back garden!
This is a photo of the waterfall.

@Angela_L John said hopefully fingers crossed, they certainly used to

Hope you have a nice time in LA
Lovely! We have big shared lunch on Sunday, on trestle tables outside if it doesn’t rain, or in the village hall if it does.
What kinds of food do people usually bring to those?

I spent my yest afternoon on youtube watching the trooping the colour. To hear such spectacles in person would be super cool.
My husband’s Grandfather was a Grenadier Guard.
Sorry to get off topic…
@Samox24 are you going to the party at the palace concert? Looks like a goodie! I remember the 2012 one where I swooned at Sir Tom Jones
