As owners of cats, we are puzzled why the THS panel of pet experts – announced in today’s “Trusted Times” – includes what appears to be only dog experts. If you read the description of each “expert,” it suggests that the focus of this panel is based solely in the training and care of dogs. I don’t think the word “cat” appears anywhere in the mention of this panel.
If I am misreading the article, my apologies.
Can’t help but wonder, though: is there a reason why at least one cat expert, Jackson Galaxy, for example, can’t be included in your panel of experts?
Just a quick note to let you know that I’ve passed your feedback to the team! If I hear anything back then I’ll share it with you here.
My feeling is that there isn’t a deliberate focus on dogs, I think it’s just coincidence that some are dog owners, but I have asked the team for clarification.
As an aside, and just to keep this discussion on topic, if anyone has any suggestions about what they’d like to see in the newsletter, can you start a new discussion about it or drop Carla or I a line? We’d genuinely like to know what would be interesting for you in a news letter and could pass the feedback along.
I just wanted to pop back with an update as I’ve got some more information about the Happy Pet Expert Panel.
All the experts on the panel have been picked out carefully based on their jobs, charity connections, and a shared passion for all animals.
Only one of the experts specialises in dogs, however we get that dogs are in the photos we’ve used. The experts share these pics with us, and we appreciate the feedback which we can use when requesting expert images in the future!
This campaign will see a range of topics covered, including cat-specific content, so keep your eyes peeled for this in the coming weeks and months.
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback - it’s much appreciated.
After reading the article and seeing nothing but dogs pictured, with zero mention of cats in the experts’ bios, I thought I was in the parallel universe of Rover!
