Random question, but has anyone ever had a sit in a house they felt might be (or was) haunted?

Yes, but he was a very friendly spirit who just wanted a warm. He stood by the huge fireplace in a 400 year old house. The owners had never seen him. I only saw him once and we have been back to look after their dogs three times.

I did a sit in a centuries old cottage belonging to friends of mine, who later mentioned that, unbeknown to each other, they’d both had a spooky encounter when they’d first moved in to the house. Whilst sitting by the fire, each had felt someone tapping on their shoulder as though trying to get their attention. The bricks around the fireplace are blackened, so they think that there was a chimney fire at some point and that perhaps a friendly spirit was looking out for them…
On another sit, again in a very old cottage, I’d settled in for the evening and was taking photos of the pets watching TV to send an update to the owners. Something odd appeared on two of the photos, which I’ve never been able to explain (see below).
Both houses had a warm, friendly feel, and I certainly didn’t sense anything untoward, so think any ghosts must have been friendly ones.

Most of the houses we have sat at I hear this eerie regular noise after we go to sleep but I think it’s just my wife snoring.
