It was the WORST feeling! Especially when I saw the adorable pup in the window looking at me

Oh no @jcvbva I’m so sorry that happened to you. I knew fobs could be expensive, but I didn’t realize they were that expensive! I’m glad it didn’t impact your sit too much, and that you and the animals were all safe.

Thank you for your comforting words. I was let unto the house after 8 hours , which I understand, they were sleeping on the east coast But why wasn’t I given the lockbox code to begin With ? Neither of the home owners asked if I was ok or if I’d eaten , since I slept outside (and was hungry which was why I went to buy groceries) .They only asked if the cat has eaten before I got locked out … that was it…. To be honest, I’m no longer the most comfortable or happy here on this stay. I was made to feel like an “irresponsible” person because I couldn’t retrieve the key. And I just think in the grand scheme of things that could go wrong on a house sit, this wasn’t the worst . Oh well !

This just all goes back to the importance of questions/answers, questions/answers, and on and on. As I had stated earlier, we stressed to all our petsitters where the spare key was so that IF they got locked out, they could easily get back in. Questions and answers from both sides are essential to making a happy and stress-free sit! No question is dumb or should be taken lightly.
