I was finally able to get verified today after a few frustrating weeks. Thank You! The glitch in my get along was that I used my passport instead of drivers license. And since it doesnt show a physical address, they couldnt figure out how to add that information. Today I got an email where I was able to do that. And Im good to go!! So glad. Im a full fledged THS. Hope everyone else is able to get thru this.
Same here. I wish they’d just notified us of that earlier. I had to reach out to Evident in order to learn this was why I’d been waiting two weeks. Surely they could come up with a way of letting us know there’s an issue.
I was finally successfully verified! wheee. Also used a passport since my DL is 20+ years old and for a state i’ve not lived in since then. Silly of them to offer it as an option if they’re unprepared to support it.
After I reached out to THS, they gave me a free month added to my sub. Thank you very much. Glad we got it figured out.
And yes, we should have been informed of the issue when it was happening. So many emails later…

I’ve tried several times but as ive just got a mobile connecting me to the internet o dont think the camera is able to capture the smallnprint on the reverse of my driving license.
Not everyone in connected up lap tops.

It has been REALLY frustrating going through this process. I have been told “Something went wrong” maybe 10 times and asked to reload my documents over and over again. I am loosing my patience with this process. Is this happening to anyone else!?!>?

Yes - it happened to me and many others
My concern has always been the safety of the Evident site with our precious ID documents. Hearing all of these horror stories of the site being unable to cope with this first stage fills me with dread.

I usually do not wait until the last minute to do something, but after reading all the difficulties members were having uploading their documents, I thought I would wait to give Evident an opportunity to iron out their technical glitches/issues. With regard to the deadline of March 16 for U.S. members to complete their background checks–Before an agency gives U.S. members a deadline for this, they should ensure that their systems are working properly and all technical glitches (do a test run) have been resolved.
Today initially, when I tried uploading my passport it was kicked back. Then when I tried uploading my driver’s license, it went through instantly. I did all of this with my iPhone. Less than an hour later, I received an email message (attached) from Evident saying that my ID / background check verification had gone through and they also sent me a copy of my completed background check.
I hope members who were initially having issues have been successful in uploading their documents. If not, one helpful tip is to make sure (when taking photos) the documents are clear/easy to read.
Soooo…is the background verification date and actual “deadline” of March 16th in that if we miss it something happens like we are not able to do it later? As I am reading nothing but negative stories about uploading the info and would like to wait until the technical issues are resolved. Today is March 16th. My membership is paid for until October. Can’t I supply the rest of the information later this week or next week (I understand I won’t be able to apply for sits until it is completed.)
Or is this deadline something more ominous…?

Here is something positive to read. I was able to successfully upload required docs and submit what was required quickly and easily before it became mandatory.
Many that have had difficulty are now coming in and posting later in their thread that they have been successful. Some required assistance.
I cannot address as to what has caused so many difficulties but could be for any number of reasons from human error to system overload.
Perhaps @Therese can assist you if needed and answer some of your questions.
Hang in there. It has been said by Admin that any interruption in membership will be addressed.
Hi @carpediem16 and yes, you can still complete the checks any time after the 16th, but the deadline means (as you correctly say) that you won’t be able to apply for any new sits until the checks are completed. The majority of checks have completed successfully, it’s only a very small number that have had difficulties, and as @Amparo says, many of them have now come back with a successful outcome. I was having trouble but managed today-relief!!
Just to help others, i was trying with my mobile but i think the shot was too small to capture the info well enough.
I tried with a passport this morning but that was no better.
I managed with a small ipad and set my document on a dark table by the window in the lightest room in the house this morning (we live in a cottage in northern england, its routinely dark!).
In fairness though member services had also contacted me by email, so it was nice to know i had back up support if this hadnt worked.
Really hope everyone else manages too.

As mentioned previously my driving licence has still not been returned after I sent it off for an update.
The deadline for completing ID verification is today. I would like to understand exactly all of the functionality of the THS site that will be unavailable to me.
