Having difficulties uploading to Evident and other issues

The admins for this forum are amazing. I really hope that they can help you, as it seems that you are a British sitter who is temporarily in the US and hopefully would not need to complete a background check at this time. We have been told that they can not be complete without a social security number. I had asked Matthew to please define who is considered a US sitter, but did not get a response and the background check topic was closed. We are a global community and have quite a few members located in the US who are citizens of other countries. We also have US citizens currently located in other countries and people with dual citizenships scattered throughout the globe. Hopefully this can get sorted out before the deadline. After much thought and hesitation, I reluctantly completed my background check to maintain my membership. I am just waiting for a response regarding the data removal issue.

I’m hopeful someone can help me to continue this wonderful adventure for the short time we have left in the US.

Can you change your location back to the UK since you’re heading home in summer anyway? And just mention in your bio that you are temporarily in the US?

Yes I could, I have everything registered to my mums so this could be too.
The admin team might tell me that’s the easiest way around it. Thanks for the suggestion :blush:

Thanks. I clicked on the link you said was requesting additional info but it’s not. it just says it’s still processing. it’s been processing for 12 days now, which is ridiculous. and i certainly hope that, with the deadline approaching, i won’t be penalized because this service doesn’t complete its tasks in a timely manner.

Ugh!! :tired_face: What is everyone else doing about this problem? Nothing I’ve tried seems to work.

I’m not quite sure what worked for me as I too tried many times to upload my ID.
I think what worked was when I contacted EVIDENT directly.

The system is very finicky. Be sure that the background–where the ID is sitting–is very dark. I used the back of a mouse pad.
