Hello from Germany

I am Nina from Germany and I am happy to be here. A year ago I moved and I am not allowed to keep animals. I used to have cats, dogs, horses and fish. For a long time I also worked for animal welfare.
My English is a bit rusty but I hope we understand each other anyway. I would like to travel through Europe and I am looking forward to exciting places, friendly people and many lovely animals.
See you soon! :guide_dog: :cat: :racehorse:

Welcome to the forum Nina. House and pet sitting is a great way to be able to spend time with animals if you are not able to have your own. Whereabouts in Germany do you live? I spent 3 years living in Germany as a child.

Willkommen von die Schweiz! If you’re not too far from me, it might be handy to get together for some short-term sits :smiley_cat: :smiley_cat: :smiley_cat:

Hallo in die Schweiz

I do! I haven’t been there for a very long time though. I just had a sitter from Köln here (in Basel) last week :+1:

@Kristina we used to visit Koln quite often when I lived in Germany. We lived right by the border with The Netherlands, at what is now Flughafen Weeze / Niederrhein.
I think the last time I visited Koln was more than 20 years ago. I really do need to visit Germany once travel becomes a little simpler. I can show my 2 boys where I used to live. My younger son is learning German at school, and I’m enjoying trying to remember all the words as he learns them.

Debbie, i think that´s great that your son ist learning german

I´m so excidet. My first sit starts on friday :guide_dog:
