Dogs are a woman’s best friend. Loved that! 
I can see why they respond to higher pitch tone voices more positively than normal pitch tones. I’ve read in several different articles that dogs think like toddlers or two-year-olds.

My toddler and 4 year old Springer certainly seem to understand about the same amount which is a lot more than I would have thought…but a lot of it is all about food and eating 
I find my dog is very smart when it serves him. When he doesn’t want to obey, suddenly he’s dumb. LOL.
