House sitter not reading email with our application

Good morning sitters! My husband Scott and I are new to this and excited to have 3 house sits scheduled in June through August. :slight_smile: We have reached out and applied to another house sit, but they have not yet read our email after 3 days. I did send another nice message this morning asking if they had received it. Hoping this is not typical of house owners? So far we have had excellent communications other than this one homeowner. Sorry, this can happen often. I typically give it a week and if nothing, I back out of my application.

I wouldn’t take that as a worrisome signal. They might not have notification activated so need to remember to log in and look at this site. We have been dealing with elderly parent care issues and, after more than a week focussed on that, are just getting back to answering our messages on this platform. Sometimes life gets in the way.

Unfortunately the messaging system in THS is not very timely or good, so sometimes it can take longer. Also, some homeowners are more responsive than others. Sitters are the same way.

Thank you, good to know. So far, so good with all of the HO’s. This is the first several day delay in reply we’ve had. Have found the messaging system to work well.

This issue has been brought up dozens of times. If you search the topic using the spyglass, you will find a lot of feedback on this.
