Are your dates right? This is currently a one-day sit?

Does that mean a sitter was coming at their own expense for a 1 day sit?

It’s usually not easy to get sitters for such a short sit, because this site is all about the exchange: because no money is exchanged, the benefit is for sitters to stay in & explore a different place. One night sits don’t really allow for that

Two applicants already, maybe they live in Singapore. Nobody would travel there for just one night.

I’d be happy to travel internationally to Singapore for a sit, but minimum one week. The flight would just be too long and the price to high to be worth it if shorter. A one nighter would have to be if one was already in the city.

I agree with the others, you would have a much better chance at securing a sitter if it were at least 2 or even 3 nights.

I just got asked to sit in Spain for a day, starting today!! Pretty sure we won’t get there in time as I live in Canberra Australia. I have not had this happen before & think it must be a “scam request”?

@SALTER

It is a spam - some kind of data breach at THS -

@MaggieSel We’re in KL and looking for onward sits in the region. We’ve seen your sit popping up a couple of times. A one night sit is really too short for most people to bother with- especially if there any travel costs involved. If you could include a second night you may have more chance. Otherwise what does an unpaid sitter get out of such a mini sit?! If you were here in KL we might be willing to help out! But otherwise, to justify travel costs, we’re looking for a minimum of a week for a sit.
Maybe it would be simpler to just look for someone local and pay them!

It is correct. I have found a sitter. Thank you for the concern.
