How Did You Get Your Username?

I could not locate it–so if this topic has been discussed before, please forgive me.

In our Forum family, we have such a variety of distinctive and unique usernames such as @Cuttlefish and @Silversitters.

How did you get your username?

I will start:

In comparison to other usernames, mine is boring. My username is my first name which is Sharon and dc are initials for my middle and last names.

My last name begins with W.
Hence UU or double U.

When I first saw your username, it made me think of the Harlem Globetrotters, (basketball team) but maybe you have been told that before.

Wow! With 68 countries, visited, your username certainly fits. :grinning:

Lovely thread, Sharon!

I was one of four Jennifers in my class at university, and so we each had a nickname to differentiate us. Mine was ‘strawberry’ because I have strawberry blonde hair, hence ‘strawberryjen’ :strawberry:

And a lovely and interesting story of how your username @anon6309382 came to be.

Thank you for sharing! :grinning:

Quite boring origin - had to find a nick and thought of the fat, orange cat that loves lasagna. Comic strip of the 80-ies by Jim Davis.

No - never been told that until now! I’m not a basketball fan, but I do know the Harlem Globetrotters - probably everyone does

I love elephants so thought I’d use the African name for them. Only problem was it should have been Tembo not Temba but I hit the wrong letter!! Couldn’t be bothered changing it

Hi @temba

That’s ok…Temba is more original. :grinning:

$8k is what some credit card fraudster charged on my account, buying gummy bears. :joy: I found that super odd and funny. The bank caught it.

Great topic @sharondc

We started full time house sitting (and joined THS) around the time of our Silver Wedding Anniversary .

I think most people think of two silver haired sitters when they see the name
