How to send a private invite

Hi everyone,

Is there a quick way for a pet parent to invite me to a sit instead of having to go through 3 stages of invites?

  1. Invite sitter to apply
  2. Invite to sit
  3. Accept sitter

Thanks for sending this info.

I’ve already sent this to the pet parent. She has sent me and invite which has produced the application and I’ve told her she needs to send me an offer to sit then accept this but she doesn’t get it.

I’m just frustrated. This is the 4th or 5th sit for her.

I’ve been there so many times and it’s awful to feel like you’re hassling the poor HO with your prompts isn’t it! “ Please accept!” :grimacing::grimacing:

Don’t know whether your host and you are on good terms, but if it’s such a hassle, you could ask them for their THS password and just do it for them. I suggest that, because some folks struggle so much with tech that they value help from people they trust.

At my last sit, my host volunteered the last digits of her social security card number to me when the internet went down and I might have to call the internet provider while they were overseas. I never asked her for it and ended up not needing it.

Of course, everyone has different comfort levels with sharing passwords and such.

Sorry, just to clarify, you’ve applied, and the missing step is her offering you the sit? It’s very easy from her end once you’ve applied, can you walk her through it via video chat?
