Question for THS staff… is it allowed to create a second account?
PS it seems like the new changes excluding any communication with hosts if dates overlap AT ALL may be just a way to push sitters to get more than one paid account…
I love THS but these recent changes have been quite a challenge to work with! There are sits on the site that overlap with my current sits by ONE DAY that have low applications, and have been there for weeks, and my wife and I could EASILY sit for them, yet we cant apply. So sad.
You don’t need confirmation from THS. You are two people and you can each have an account. If you choose to use your two accounts in order to arrange overlap sits that is entirely your perogative. Many couples, like ourselves and @colin did occasional overlaps when it suited our travel plans- when arranged responsibly it was never a problem. The new no-overlap rule has created an unnecessary obstacle for couples and it appears the only way to navigate this is to pay for a second account- more revenue for THS so I cannot see them having any issue with it!!
You have gotten some really helpful advice here, but since you have requested help from THS staff it would be best to reach out to the Membership Services team as they are best placed to help you with this one!
