Thank you

Thank you ! Yes I trust what’s meant to be will be  I had 4-5 female sitters reach out :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: that they’re interested but unavailable bc of prior commitments but saved my listing for the future.

You could let the sitter sleep in your bed and you sleep on the air mattress, if there’s an overlap, if you want to boost you odds of getting a great sitter. It’s worth considering that the best sitters can afford to be the most selective.

As @Maggie8K suggest it would be worthwhile to see if you can work around the bed-issue. If it is a privacy-factor - for instance of the top mattress in bedroom could be switched for a guest?

I can imagine one could think we handle it as it is some kind of «big issue» and that is because it is, and we would like for you to get a good sitter for your pups.

Solo, female sitters are high in demand, many ask for that specific type of sitter, which means they have a lot of opportunities to choose from. To «favourite» a listing doesn’t necessarily mean more than that one would like a notification of dates. I have some specific locations I want notifications from and I’ve favorited almost all homes on that location. If there’s multiple possibilities «given date (-s)» I will choose the sit that is most favorable. That would mean that a lot of homes I’ve favorited will possible fall short in the competition when availability for several homes.

For many sitters another factor that is huge is how long the pets can be left alone for outings in the area. This is particularly important for solo sitters, as they have no one to share the responsibility with. I don’t think you mentioned that in your profile (?). When are the pets feeding times and usual walks and for how many hours can they be left alone in the home. If it is not more than up to 2-3 hours I would seriously consider omitting the solo-preference, as you will otherwise have very few possible applicants.

It is important to have these things in the profile. If it is not there then the reader will probably not ask you but just scroll on to the next profile.

You mentioned local sitters. There are various reasons for sitting locally. A new sitter that need experience and reviews, someone having guests and would like to free their own space for the guests, «change of walls» or having pets for a few days as they are not able to full time or perhaps for renovation in own home, needing a quiet place to finish an assignment or one otherwise need to vacate temporarily. So lots of good reasons are possible for choosing a local sit.

Thanks for the reminder on time! I just added that & reiterated in a different section that no walls are needed.

Thanks everyone for all the tips ! As you saw I’m unable to make changes to the bed situation & am glad I stuck to my boundaries ! I’ve had 5 applications within the past few days & 2 very quality female solo traveler sitters I’m considering just as I preferred ! I did make the other changes I was able to do based on your recommendations so thank you so much !
