Hi, can anyone recommend any good apps or websites for meeting people. I’m about to start a few months of sitting in different locations and leaving my friends behind, so it would be nice to get to know some people locally - just friendship, nothing else!
Would be curious to know how other house sitters manage while they are away from friends and family for long periods of time? These are cat sits so don’t have the benefit of meeting other dog walkers!
There is an app we used in years gone by called ‘Meetup’ and it was great for meeting folks for a variety of experiences. Not sure if it’s worldwide, but we were members when in the US.

- Join local meetup groups, meetup.com

If you will organize that meetup and reference it here on the forum, it is very possible you will be able to meet more great minded people like yourself who love sitting cute little furbabies around the globe!
