Coffee and chat in Edinburgh, Scotland today …
It was such a pleasure to meet @Annika, Cleo & Thiago over lunch in Edinburgh today. Annika a new pet parent/owner to the Community, originally from Germany and now living in Scotland and Cleo & Thiago who moved to the UK from Brazil and sit full time currently in Edinburgh caring for two feline friends.
Thank you all for taking the time to share your company and your stories with us.
@Angela_L @Annika Cleo & Thiago looks like you all had a lovely time in Edinburgh today… here’s to the next meet up!
Spontaneous meet up Uruguayan style!
Ian and Vera, pet parents I’ve been sitting for for 5 years. Alejandro and Isabel (veterinarian and sister to Violet). Violet and Javier, pet parents in Montevideo. The guys cooked! Dogs were knackered, cats were being cats.
Looks like you all had a fabulous time @Amparo
Shame you’re not in the pic Amparo. They look lovely people
@Amparo Absolutely! Well said
A post was split to a new topic: Meetups in Barcelona
That’s better. Nice haircut @Amparo
Today my boys and I met up with the lovely @temba
We had hoped to meet up in Gloucestershire where we live and where @temba is housesitting, but we have only been at home for one night during the time she is there! So we met half way between our sits, in Witney, Oxfordshire.
We met in The Leys park and had a lovely chat about housesits, travel and pets as morning rolled into lunchtime and then afternoon. Being in a park meant that the boys (including Ozzie the labrador) could let off a bit of steam while we talked.
It was especially nice to share memories of dear Neli the Springer, who we have both cared for, and who sadly passed away at the beginning of the year.
It’s wonderful how so many of us become friends through the forum and then enjoy meeting in person.
It was lovely to meet Debbie and her boys in Witney and I thank her for making it possible. And yes, @mars, we had no trouble chatting for hours! Whenever I’ve met members of THS, it always feels like it’s friends I am meeting because we share so much in common and we have THS to thank for that. Debbie and her boys are a fine example of how a family can be successful at sitting. It was so obvious the affinity the boys had with Ozzie and a joy to watch them with him.
