Thanks for letting me know @botvot
@Guapodog1, now that your listing is attached to your Forum profile, you can click on your name, then the link and see/read exactly what sitters are seeing to clarify what you have included in your âtemplateâ.
@Guapodog1
I have looked at your listing as you requested and the things you mention are all visible in the amenities section . Your listing is thorough but there are a couple of things you might want to add.
If I was considering applying I would want to know how long can Bo be left alone for ?
If I was going to be relying on public transport during the sit I would like more information . Is it a bus train / how frequent etc . So I would likely need to âapplyâ to contact you to ask about this .
The amenities section shows you have wi-fi. Some homeowners add a screenshot of the wi- fi speed in the photo section ( especially important if the sitter will be working during their stay ) and if you have an office or desk space available for the sitter to use show it in your photos .
You also say your dates are flexible so again I would need to âapplyâ to start a discussion with you about this .
Thank you for your response & for looking @ my listing.
Somewhere there was a question about how long pets can be left alone - there I filled out âup to 6 hoursâ⊠I do think you can just message me if you have questions w/out applying - people have been doing that⊠maybe the ones I invitedâŠ
Thanks again for the tipsâŠ
You are correct. ONLY the invited Sitters can ask you questions without actually applying.
Sitters who find your listing and have questions need to âapplyâ in order to ask questions.
Thank you for that⊠unfortunate, but it is what it is⊠Iâve made a few amendments to my listing - I wonder if there is any way to âhighlightâ the changes to help it stand outâŠ
@Guapodog1 I think your listing is very descriptive and the photos are good enough to get an idea of the house. Your pets look lovely. I really hope you find someone. The only changes I might consider, is to change the header to show âSomewhat Flexibleâ first, as it cuts off on the app. And it looks like you have enough beds for a family - can you add the âfamily friendlyâ tag to attract more sitters?
@botvot, I donât know how the dog will react, let alone to children. He has been around a very active 8 year old, but we & the parents were there so could intervene should anything happen. Part of his history is having been around an autistic child⊠so we have had to work on his reactivity⊠I changed the title, how does it look now? & Thank you so much for your feedbackâŠ
@Guapodog1 Hi Shannon, that makes perfect sense re kids. You know your pet best. I still see the header as it was before - see screenshot, so Iâm not sure your change actually kicked in.
Iâve amended the title again⊠simple 'House & pet sitter; flexible dates
I tried to message a host recently because in their description they list two entirely differently places they live. I was interested in sitting in one of them and not the other and I wasnât going to bother them with an application if it was in the place I wouldnât sit. So I hit âapplyâ and then just asked the question, which they didnât answer.
