This is so terrible! Kudos to you for saving the cat. We have done it once, but we’re generally hesitant to accept any sits that allow their pets to roam freely. We are terrified that a pet might not come home and we would have no idea what happened to it.
so sorry you had to deal with this.
I owned 2 cats and they were indoor/outdoor, from my point of view they loved being outside, i believed that protecting them would make their lives so diminished it wasn´t worth it.
they both lived in to their 20´s. And one of them did get killed by a loose pit bull.
things happen.
