My personal reference was posted yesterday but has yet to appear on my profile. Is there a lengthy turnaround time for this to happen? I’m waiting to apply for sits until it’s visible.

References should show immediately once the referee follows the link, so in order to understand what’s happened here, it’d be best for Membership Services to help you with this one.
If you head here and look for the green speech box with a speech bubble in the bottom right corner, you can reach the team. I recommend asking to “speak to a human” to get through to someone

I had this issue for a couple weeks it seems. They thought they could see it but it wouldn’t show on the public profile. It is now. I think. I’m thinking maybe they could be flexible on the “return” policy to make up for the delay. I haven’t had ANY accepted sit offers and it’s been about a month. I’d hate to waste the money.

just checking: have you confirmed that the referrer has submitted their reference? when I first signed up, I couldn’t see my reference for a while…but I discovered later it was simply because my friend hadn’t actually filled it out yet!
While I was waiting, I was able to still apply to sits, and some accepted my application even though I had no reviews/references. Of course, you will lose some as well, but it doesn’t hurt to just start applying in the meantime. (This will also help you refine your application message!)

Thank you @Jenny. Unfortunately the automated chat did not help. And my request for human assistance wasn’t answered, perhaps because of the time difference? The person who wrote the reference received a confirmation. When I go to my Dashboard, thinking I would resend a request for her to repost to fix, it shows her name and 5 stars but no review. So not possible to fix on either end. Please let us know when this will be resolved since its impacting multiple members!
Thanks, I thought of the same possibility, but it was definitely submitted and confirmed as received by TH. It’s also showing up on my profile dashboard with their name and star rating but no words! I wish support was more forthcoming on this since it’s apparently a known bug.

For me, yes I confirmed they were sent and could even view them on my end, but not on the public profile end.

I have the same problem : three of the people I contacted for references responded and wrote a reference - it’s also stated “confirmed” under Edit Your Profile → References → External References. But they don’t all show up in my public profile, just one of them - under → View Your Profile → References (1)
I don’t manage to get any help over the green HELP bubble.
Please, what could I do? I feel it’s lowering my chances a lot to get a sit, if I have only one reference showing.

@doro.thee Have you tried clicking on Sitters or Find a Sitter depending on whether you’re using the app or website? This way you can put in your location and then trawl through the sitters (depending on how many are also in your location) to find yourself. You’ll then see how many references are showing. A longer process but it might be worth it!
