After review a sitter can reply but the sittee can not. Does anyone know why or am I missing something? Also what do you do when a sitter does something totally wrong for your doggo besides contacting customer service? Thanks
Welcome @BootsBoo. Sorry to learn there were issues with your sitter re your dog. Reviews are blind but both owner and sitter are able to respond to the review given by the other party once the reviews are public. They can only do this once so you are unable to have an ongoing discussion under a review.
Contacting THS customer service is what you need to do.
Welcome to the forum @BootsBoo
Hosts can reply to the review that the sitter has written about them and vice versa .
Member services can advice you about specific issues . You can have a live chat with an agent via the Help section.
( Ask to speak to a human)
For serous complaints about another member there is the member dispute process.
You can search for information about it in the Help section.
You give them a poor review!
Slightly off-topic, but I think many hosts who donāt travel very often may be completely unaware of the new āblindā two-week rule. So it is a good idea to let them know. Just reminded a host of a recent sit, who had no idea about the change or why he hadnāt seen the review I wrote for him. Once he was in the know, he completed his review quickly!
You can write your own review as well but only in the 2 week period. If it is after two weeks, you can reply to the review they left for you, but you canāt leave them a review. However, if they did something āreally wrongā you can contact THS customer service and tell them you have a dispute.
No harm in reminding them but I thought the THS system sent several reminders as well.
I think Iāve gotten messages from THS to say the other party has written me a review, and that I should hurry and write mine so I get to see it - or something like that. But I think not all people read all their mails of that sort.
The THS system sends SO many reminders ā like every time a random sitter saves your listing, that I honestly donāt think most homeowners are looking at them. I think most homeowners who take under 6 trips a year, really donāt pay attention to THS until itās time to look for a sitter.
