Seattle area meet-up March 24-April 6

I’ll be sitting on Whidbey Island (which is not right in Seattle) but - anyone in the general area? I’d be willing to either take the ferry/commuter train part way and meet up - or if you’re in Seattle and want to see Whidbey, meet you at the ferry (I’ve use of the HO’s car).

I will be in Edmonds; do you know where that is? About 20 minutes north of Seattle. I’d be interested in meeting.

Great - I’ve enjoyed prior chances to meet other sitters and HOs - 2 big ones in London (8 or 10 people) and just a few folks on Vancouver Island, SF, and Melbourne.
I’m sitting a pair (or maybe a trio - there is a semi feral who comes and goes) of indoor cats in Oak Harbor which is on the northern end of Whidbey. So not too time constrained. Will you have transportation? Maybe find a place for coffee or a meal (probably lunch) somewhere in between. Lots of coffee shops but need to be careful choosing - many of them are drive-up only (a trend that fortunately hasn’t really penetrated Chapel Hill or DC yet)
I took a look at Sound Transit and it is truly a commute to work only line - southbound Everett to Edmonds between 6 and 8 am (and Amtrak at 1030 am) and northbound from Edmonds to Everett between 430 and 645 pm.
I start the sit on Sunday, March 23 and really don’t have anything specific scheduled for any days.

Hi Toml, I am not on a sit right now but live in Edmonds, WA. There are a number of coffee shops and lunch places in town. There should be bus service from the Whidbey Island ferry terminal in Mukilteo to Edmonds. My next sit is on Whitney Island starting April 17, 2025. There are some fun places to explore on the island.

Yes, I have a car, and I’ve been to Whidbey Island many times over the years, including Oak Harbor. (I’ve lived in the PNW for at least 25 years. I’m one of those sitters guilty of doing local sits; I have my reasons.) Plans could be made depending on how many people might show up. I’m open to meeting anywhere, as long as I can find parking.

@Poppi

I’m in Oak Harbor and settled in with a pair of cats.
And no real things on my schedule to do so open to suggestions as to when and where we might meet-up. Preferably for me, mid-day for lunch.
I did a quick google maps search - some ideas follow (all 4+ stars on google, but a restaurant has to be pretty bad to get less than 4* average on google). But if you all have other thoughts - Poppi, you live in the area. I did mainly look north of Edmonds - sort of meet in the middle.

I think this works for all -
Sunday, March 30, 11 am (when they open)? Diamond Knot Brewery and Alehouse, 621 FRONT ST, MUKILTEO, Google maps shows it as 1/2 mile from the ferry
Menus — Diamond Knot Brewing Company - maybe a brunch menu, too but this one looks like something for everyone.
