Sitters: Setting your Preferred Countries in your profile

When a new sitter member recently asked for feedback on their profile, one suggestion was to review their preferred countries. It made me wonder how many sitters never adjust this from the default, which is Anywhere in the World. Realistically, I think few of us would truly be willing to travel anywhere in the world these days.

To set your preferred countries, go to your dashboard, scroll down & click on:

click on Edit

Scroll down to what you see in the next image below, which is by default set on the first option, Anywhere in the world (this is a photo of mine, and I have my countries selected).

When you click on the second option, various groupings are shown.

Click on the dropdown arrows for one or all of them and click on the countries you want added to your profile. When you click them, they’ll go from white to dark green. Then click save all when finished in each grouping.

Once you’re finished, you may want to view your sitter profile and check the list, which shows under your Availability calendar.

@Snowbird I saw the same forum post and went to check mine to ensure it reflected our current interests. I have discovered a problem. At one time I had “Anywhere in the world” selected, but now I do specific countries. However, there seem to be relics left over on my preferred list that aren’t available to me on the country-specific lists so I am unable to remove them. For example, nowhere do I have Antarctica, French Southern Territories, or several others selected, but they show up on my list. I wonder if others have this issue?

@lifephasenext I find your point interesting, but have no idea why that’s happened. Team members do read these posts so perhaps the mystery will be solved at some point.
