I do recall one incident where the moderator shared that the rep would receive extra coaching.
Run, donât walk, away from this sit! Why take this on? You will be too focused on not walking the dogs over sidewalk cracks that could potentially break the ownerâs back, than taking care of the pets and enjoying your time in France. Something better will come along!
You are right to assume that when a sitter doesnât leave a review it was a bad experience. I just did a sit in San Diego that had several blank reviews and I wished I had trusted my instincts and not committed. It was not a good experience. My review reflected my experience so that future sitters will know what to expect.
My two cents.
Run! We just finished a sit in the south of France, Azille, France to be exact. We are from NC. It is a huge financial and cultural undertaking. We loved it and had a fabulous time. So my concern is only with the owner.
My husband and I have been doing this for three years. We do about six sits a year. From my experience, many owners do not do all the things they request of their sitters do for their pets and home. Nor do they always display the real picture of their home and pets. It is up to the sitter to read between the lines, have a lot of flexibility, travel insurance and a back up plan. The description of your interactions already display huge red flags for me. Run before you spend anymore time and especially money.

Donât let the desire to go to a location override your gut/instinct. This sit sounds like a nightmare.
