Sitting --> Spending

Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin.

Fell in love with this scent on a sit and have now bought a number of items.

Too bad it’s so darn expensive.

@PetSitterBug ooh I love that scent! :two_hearts:

I gifted my friend a candle with this particular scent for her birthday, and she said the same thing! She’s got the whole collection. If you like Jo Malone, try Le Labo - also a luxury brand but for just a little less.

There’s a wonderful, independent shop in Ludlow that makes their own soy wax candles of lime & basil that are 99% as good as, and maybe 30% cost of a Jo Malone one @PetSitterBug - it’s called Velvet Fern :raised_hands:t3: (great minds think alike @wendy_chicago)

A Nespresso machine
A vacuum cleaner
Ceramic frying pan
Set of knives
A fancy toaster

But this might beat the lot - an apartment in Spain :rofl::rofl::rofl:

@Cuttlefish Well, the flight might impact the price somewhat!

Will keep in mind if ever nearby.

:joy::joy: i thought afterwards. I wonder if he/she is a Brit, an American or an Aussie @PetSitterBug? Oops. @MissChef’s brand might be more use :raised_hands:t3::raised_hands:t3:

I didn’t realize Jo Malone candles were expensive. They were part of a gift package that a former company sent all employees. I’ll have to have a sniff when I get home, LOL. I put it in a closet and haven’t thought about it since.

Probably £50 for the medium one and £85 for the giant @Maggie8K :joy::joy:

It’s about the same in USD as in pounds. Think I paid around $100 w/ tax for the large candle I bought for my friend.

@PetSitterBug Le Labo used to have Basil candles with citrusy notes, but I don’t see them anymore. They only sell the body care collection. It was a very similar scent!
I personally love their Santal 33 and Rose 31 scents.

I do not know how I have managed to live this long without knowing about the existence of toaster tongs but now thanks to a sit this year I do !!

( with a magnet to attach to the side of the toaster so you never loose them - genius)

Or… hear me out… unplug the toaster and jab a plastic fork in there!

Kind of goes with how I used to ride my bike on the street without a helmet, and drank from the garden hose, and bounced around the back seat of a station wagon with no seatbelt… how did any of us survive?

LOL. I’m used to using wooden chopsticks as toaster “tongs.”

@wendy_chicago and @Cuttlefish, yikes! I’m too cheap to spend that kind of money on any candle, but everyone has stuff they value. Like I easily spend money on books or afternoon tea, LOL.

A floor steam mop and LED light string attached to the back of the TV for mood lighting. Oodles of mosaic tiling ideas as well!

Here’s my nomination, a Starlink satellite modem and router. I did a sit in Colorado earlier in the year and now I’d like one for use when I’m traveling around Europe in my day van.

A rubber chicken bottle stopper. It made me giggle every time I looked at it. I just had to have one!

Try Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot cologne @MissChef; it’s divine!
