People arriving in Italy from the UK will have to quarantine for five days, it has been announced.
Those from the UK will also have to take a coronavirus test.
Roberto Speranza announced that entry requirements for some countries would be relaxed, including for EU nations, the United States, Canada and Japan.
However, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lank faced further restrictions.
