Tenerife, Islas Canarias, Spain

This was an in between sit stay as I was hopping from a sit in Barcelona to Australia.
I arrived late at night and took a bus in the town. When I arrived it was nearly 10pm, dark and not a soul around. As I was standing in the street pondering if I should go to the bar I could see was open, a woman appeared behind me. She had just closed the shop and asked if I was alright, in Spanish of course.
Long story short, she stayed with me, made several calls a got a friend of hers to take to the Airbnb which was up a hill a fair distance away. Never would have made it on my own in the dark.
I saw the woman again working in the bakery. We chatted for quite a while. I bought some bread and delicious pastries. We exchanged contact info and to this day, I’ll get a Hola, Estas bien?

Lots of hills, vineyards, farmers markets and microclimate!
You surf and walk in the snow in one day!

@Amparo thank you for sharing your adventure with us. I feel deeply, that these experiences and the interactions we share with others….be it humans or animals, is truly what we all seek.

I am not ashamed to say it.
I needed, and still do, to know that there are good people, in the world.
