Fortunately for us, we’ll have the author present. Jess Holmes is a forum member. She is very busy at present appearing at various book festivals but has given us a few possible meeting dates:
Wednesday, 14 August
or
Saturday/Sunday, 10-11 August
at 10AM PDT/11AM MDT/12noon CDT/1PM EDT/6PM GMT/7PM CET/8PM EEST (Turkey)
Please reply on this thread with your preferred date.
I’ll join the discussion but not interested in the book. Or, to be frank, I don’t want to spend money on a book I am not that interested in reading. No offence intended, Jessica, if you’re in this group.
@Maeve I might be able to do this one, as it’s school holidays and we will be on a regular sit. Please can you add me to the list and I’ll order the book?
Our meeting to discuss The Housesitter’s Guide to the Galaxy by Jessica Holmes is two days from now.
This is just to let you know that I have DM’d the Google Meet link to those on the Book Club recipient list. Please reply or DM me if you have not received it and would like to attend.
The meeting is this Wednesday, 14 August. The time is listed below:
Thank you, All, for a delightful discussion of The Housesitter’s Guide to the Galaxy with the author, Jess Holmes.
This well-researched book is chock full of information on green travel, volunteering, working in foreign countries, booking your trip, along wth cultural insights and inspiration. She lists and describes many useful resources for all kinds of travel and shares some of her own novel travel experiences. It’s definitely a worthwhile read!
We selected our next exciting book that will appear in its own topic.
Thank you for our meeting on Wednesday, I thoroughly enjoyed our discussion, it was great to be able to join you as both an author and a book club member. A big thank you to @Maeve for once again organising a great chat.
If those of you that read it could review the book it would be greatly appreciated. Here are the links for you to do so (simply scroll down to “Write a review”).
