We’re on the hunt for the Happiest Pet on Earth!

Join our fun competition to find and celebrate all the joyful pets out there, and let’s crown one lucky furry (or feathered, scaly, or hooved!) buddy with the top title…

Show off your pet’s happiest moments, and you might snag some awesome prizes! (Oh, and you don’t have to be a pet owner to enter, just make sure to get the pet parent’s okay before you jump in.)

:paw_prints: September 24, 2024 – We’re revealing our winner and three runners-up

:cat2: One lucky winner will score their dream vacation with $5,000 in vouchers for flights and accommodation, a year’s supply of pet food, and a free five-year Premium Combined TrustedHousesitters membership.

:dog2: Three runners-up will get a one-year TrustedHousesitters Standard membership and a $100 donation to a pet charity of their choice.

Thinking about entering?

You have to be at least 21 to join in. Each person can submit up to three entries for different pets. Here’s what you need to include:

:paw_prints: Pet photo or video: Submit a photo or video capturing your pet at their happiest. We’re talking waggle butts, snuggle sessions, and zoomies galore! (FYI, photos should be in JPG/JPEG/PNG format, and please keep your images under 1MB and videos under 5MB and under 2 minutes long).

:paw_prints: Story: In 150 words or less, tell us why your pet deserves the title of World’s Happiest Pet. Share any sweet stories or fun facts about them and what makes them super happy!

@Jenny Is the competition for pet parents only ? Many sitters don’t have pets of their own ? Can we submit photos of pets we have cared for on THS ?

As @Gabba mentioned, the post confirms that you don’t have to be a pet owner, just be sure to get permission of the pet parent before you enter.

I’ve italicised that line so that it stands out, as I know it can sometimes be easy to skim read through longer posts!

I don’t know how to add a picture of my boys Forrest and Rupert but one of the admins added their pictures to my listing before so if they see this can you help me add it please. Hopefully you know the ones I’m talking about (they’re smiling in the grass :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:)

Yes I do remember the photos of your gorgeous doggies and I certainly think they made our members smile. :slightly_smiling_face:

Unfortunately we cannot add your photo this time for the competition as it is not uploading it to a post on the Forum as we did before. You will need to click on the link as directed in the post which will take you to the blog and this will then explain how to enter and submit your photo/s.

If you or any other members are having issues with your photos uploading then please check the following;

  • Please check photos are 2MB or lower.
  • Try a different file type (JPEG, PNG etc.)
  • Check there are no blockers on your browser preventing media upload.

I hope this helps and you are able to submit your photo/s but if you have any further issues or questions then please don’t hesitate to ask :blush:

Out of curiosity… In the paragraph on membership prizes it says “unlimited sits“. Is this not normally a thing anymore? Has something changed? This makes it sound like a special membership perk. Just wondering as that survey was trying to get people to vote on membership plans that had sit limits.

Is there a way to view the entries? Or just the judges see them for now.

I just wanted to reassure you that nothing’s changed - I think the wording is used to hype up the benefits of being a member.
