We’ve just received a cancellation request from a sitter that was confirmed 5 MONTHS ago.
Now need to urgently find a replacement sitter in UK in August.
I’ve been messaging past sitters - but everyone already has confirmed plans in place. As you would expect during summer season.
I’m really at a loss for what to do.

Dates, location, pets, home, etc.
You can put it in the “Last Minute” section of the Forum if it begins 7 days away or less.
Did you regularly keep in touch with them these 5 months? Doesn’t help now but next time try to FaceTime once a month to check in. You may have been able to clue into red flags earlier. I am sorry this happened to you.
Are you the Marlow sit maybe?

it’s annoying but you might be fine! Your sit has great reviews and the pets look & sound great. We’d be looking for a living room pic and a bathroom pic on there which we can’t see so please add those. Change the title to - Enjoy Marlow, a comfy home & cuddly pets - or “URGENT sitter for glorious Marlow” and then it grabs attention is another tactic. Get Marlow in that title as that’s a seller!! There are two path photos you could also delete. Offering to collect a sitter from a train or bus station is a nice addition. If you do those bits, pause and relist it then you’ll go to new again on the listings. #trythetweaks
Oh gosh, I feel your pain. I had a sitter cancelled who had been booked months ago. I was in contact with her, so it was out of the blue. My sit is in September so only mildly panicking. Good luck, I hope you find someone soon.

Our pets are very low maintenance. Only need their feeding and walking schedule maintained.

Yes, we exchanged messages and talked a couple of times. Communication seemed good. But I think you’re right- I should have been looking out for signs.
